The OWASP core rule set (CRS) is a set of generic attack detection rules for use with compatible web application firewalls. Prior to versions 3.3.9 and 4.25.0, a bypass was identified in OWASP CRS that allows uploading files with dangerous extensions (.php, .phar, .jsp, .jspx) by inserting whitespace padding in the filename (e.g. photo. php or shell.jsp ). The affected rules do not normalize whitespace before evaluating the file extension regex, so the dot-extension check fails to match. This issue has been patched in versions 3.3.9 and 4.25.0.

OpenPrinting CUPS is an open source printing system for Linux and other Unix-like operating systems. In versions 2.4.16 and prior, CUPS daemon (cupsd) contains an authorization bypass vulnerability due to case-insensitive username comparison during authorization checks. The vulnerability allows an unprivileged user to gain unauthorized access to restricted operations by using a user with a username that differs only in case from an authorized user. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

Attackers can exploit non-deterministic username resolution to impersonate victim accounts, replace profile content on canonical URLs, and inject attacker-controlled metadata and content across the platform.

Rack is a modular Ruby web server interface. Prior to versions 2.2.23, 3.1.21, and 3.2.6, Rack::Static#applicable_rules evaluates several header_rules types against the raw URL-encoded PATH_INFO, while the underlying file-serving path is decoded before the file is served. As a result, a request for a URL-encoded variant of a static path can serve the same file without the headers that header_rules were intended to apply. In deployments that rely on Rack::Static to attach security-relevant response headers to static content, this can allow an attacker to bypass those headers by requesting an encoded form of the path. This issue has been patched in versions 2.2.23, 3.1.21, and 3.2.6.

A flaw was found in GIMP. Heap-buffer-overflow vulnerability exists in the fread_pascal_string function when processing a specially crafted PSD (Photoshop Document) file. This occurs because the buffer allocated for a Pascal string is not properly null-terminated, leading to an out-of-bounds read when strlen() is subsequently called. Successfully exploiting this vulnerability can cause the application to crash, resulting in an application level Denial of Service.

Traefik is an HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. Versions 2.11.40 and below, 3.0.0-beta1 through 3.6.11, and 3.7.0-ea.1 are vulnerable to mTLS bypass through the TLS SNI pre-sniffing logic related to fragmented ClientHello packets. When a TLS ClientHello is fragmented across multiple records, Traefik's SNI extraction may fail with an EOF and return an empty SNI. The TCP router then falls back to the default TLS configuration, which does not require client certificates by default. This allows an attacker to bypass route-level mTLS enforcement and access services that should require mutual TLS authentication. This issue is patched in versions 2.11.41, 3.6.11 and 3.7.0-ea.2.

DataEase is an open source data visualization analysis tool. Versions 2.10.19 and below have inconsistent Locale handling between the JDBC URL validation logic and the H2 JDBC engine's internal parsing. DataEase uses String.toUpperCase() without specifying an explicit Locale, causing its security checks to rely on the JVM's default runtime locale, while H2 JDBC always normalizes URLs using Locale.ENGLISH. In Turkish locale environments (tr_TR), Java converts the lowercase letter i to İ (dotted capital I) instead of the standard I, so a malicious parameter like iNIT becomes İNIT in DataEase's filter (bypassing its blacklist) while H2 still correctly interprets it as INIT. This discrepancy allows attackers to smuggle dangerous JDBC parameters past DataEase's security validation, and the issue has been confirmed as exploitable in real DataEase deployment scenarios running under affected regional settings. The issue has been fixed in version 2.10.20.

XML::Parser versions through 2.45 for Perl could overflow the pre-allocated buffer size cause a heap corruption (double free or corruption) and crashes. A :utf8 PerlIO layer, parse_stream() in Expat.xs could overflow the XML input buffer because Perl's read() returns decoded characters while SvPV() gives back multi-byte UTF-8 bytes that can exceed the pre-allocated buffer size. This can cause heap corruption (double free or corruption) and crashes.

miniaudio version 0.11.25 and earlier contain a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the WAV BEXT metadata parser that allows attackers to trigger memory access violations by processing crafted WAV files. Attackers can exploit improper null-termination handling in the coding history field to cause out-of-bounds reads past the allocated metadata pool, resulting in application crashes or denial of service.

Golioth Firmware SDK version 0.19.1 prior to 0.22.0, fixed in commit 0e788217, contain an out-of-bounds read due to improper null termination of a blockwise transfer path. blockwise_transfer_init() accepts a path whose length equals CONFIG_GOLIOTH_COAP_MAX_PATH_LEN and copies it using strncpy() without guaranteeing a trailing NUL byte, leaving ctx->path unterminated. A later strlen() on this buffer (in golioth_coap_client_get_internal()) can read past the end of the allocation, resulting in a crash/denial of service. The input is application-controlled (not network by default).

@fastify/middie is the plugin that adds middleware support on steroids to Fastify. A security vulnerability exists in @fastify/middie prior to version 9.1.0 where middleware registered with a specific path prefix can be bypassed using URL-encoded characters (e.g., `/%61dmin` instead of `/admin`). While the middleware engine fails to match the encoded path and skips execution, the underlying Fastify router correctly decodes the path and matches the route handler, allowing attackers to access protected endpoints without the middleware constraints. Version 9.1.0 fixes the issue.

Hono is a Web application framework that provides support for any JavaScript runtime. Prior to version 4.12.4, when using serveStatic together with route-based middleware protections (e.g. app.use('/admin/*', ...)), inconsistent URL decoding allowed protected static resources to be accessed without authorization. The router used decodeURI, while serveStatic used decodeURIComponent. This mismatch allowed paths containing encoded slashes (%2F) to bypass middleware protections while still resolving to the intended filesystem path. This issue has been patched in version 4.12.4.

Traefik is an HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. From version 2.11.9 to 2.11.37 and from version 3.1.3 to 3.6.8, there is a potential vulnerability in Traefik managing the Connection header with X-Forwarded headers. When Traefik processes HTTP/1.1 requests, the protection put in place to prevent the removal of Traefik-managed X-Forwarded headers (such as X-Real-Ip, X-Forwarded-Host, X-Forwarded-Port, etc.) via the Connection header does not handle case sensitivity correctly. The Connection tokens are compared case-sensitively against the protected header names, but the actual header deletion operates case-insensitively. As a result, a remote unauthenticated client can use lowercase Connection tokens (e.g. Connection: x-real-ip) to bypass the protection and trigger the removal of Traefik-managed forwarded identity headers. This issue has been patched in versions 2.11.38 and 3.6.9.

Caddy is an extensible server platform that uses TLS by default. Prior to version 2.11.1, Caddy's HTTP `path` request matcher is intended to be case-insensitive, but when the match pattern contains percent-escape sequences (`%xx`) it compares against the request's escaped path without lowercasing. An attacker can bypass path-based routing and any access controls attached to that route by changing the casing of the request path. Version 2.11.1 contains a fix for the issue.

Caddy is an extensible server platform that uses TLS by default. Prior to version 2.11.1, Caddy's HTTP `host` request matcher is documented as case-insensitive, but when configured with a large host list (>100 entries) it becomes case-sensitive due to an optimized matching path. An attacker can bypass host-based routing and any access controls attached to that route by changing the casing of the `Host` header. Version 2.11.1 contains a fix for the issue.
